The California Water and Environmental Modeling Forum (CWEMF) will hold its 14th Annual Meeting from Tuesday, February 26 through Thursday, February 28, 2008 at the Asilomar Conference Center near Monterey, California.  The theme of this year's Annual Meeting is: "Modeling for Decision Support under Changing Conditions." As in previous years, the CWEMF's Annual Meeting will overlap with the Interagency Ecological Program’s Annual Workshop, which runs from Wednesday, February 27 through Friday, February 29, 2008 at Asilomar.  On Wednesday, February 27, 2007, the CWEMF and IEP will conduct joint sessions. The CWEMF program includes:

    • Pop-Up Talks: Five Minute Overviews of Current Modeling Work in California

Attending:

To register for the 2008 CWEMF Annual Meeting, please complete the Registration Form WordIcon and send it and the appropriate fee to the CWEMF address on the form. If you wish to stay at Asilomar , please complete the attached Asilomar Housing Form WordIcon and submit the form and payment to Asilomar following the instructions on the form.  The price of your room includes three meals per day (six total).  If you decide to stay off-site, you may purchase a meal ticket at Asilomar.

2008 CWEMF Annual Meeting FREE for students! The CWEMF is offering 30 student lodging and meal scholarships (a $120 value) that includes two nights lodging at the Monterey Youth Hostel International and six meals at the Asilomar Conference Center. To be eligible you must be a full or part-time student and do one of the following:

  1. make a presentation at the CWEMF Annual Meeting;
  2. participate in the Annual Meeting Poster Session;
  3. submit a one-page paper on why you would like to go to the CWEMF Annual Meeting; or
  4. have one of your professors email a recommendation to CWEMF.

If more than 30 students request a scholarship, then priority will be given in the priority order 1 through 4 above. To apply for a student scholarship, please fill out the registration form and email it to the CWEMF.
